Texas Hold'em Poker : Semi-Bluffing and Defensive Wagering

Seems like most people are constantly talking about pre-flop method, so I wanted to talk a tiny bit about how I play soon after the flop. Perhaps I can assist others, or possibly they have advice to improve my play.

I feel that 2 of the most essential plays immediately after the flop are the semi-bluff and the defensive bet. Early Position - Tight Opponents:

A semi-bluff works fairly effectively in this position. Come out gambling and if a tight gambler didn't hit a hand he'll probably lay down, and if he's unsure you may perhaps acquire a call. Except watch out, if that tight gambler comes back more than the top it may be time to obtain away.

Early Placement - Loose Competitors

That is were I like to perform a defensive bet. Determine how many chips you're willing to risk on your draw and bet. That is normally a much lower wager than regular.
